WHAT
IS
BOTOX?
Botox is a non-surgical injectable treatment that can help soften the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles.
It works by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles that contribute to lines caused by repeated expressions such as frowning, smiling and raising your eyebrows.
Botox is commonly used to soften:
- Forehead lines
- Frown lines between the eyebrows
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
The goal isn’t to change the way you look.
With a personalized approach, treatment can soften selected lines while maintaining natural-looking facial expression.
Not sure if Botox is right for you?
During your free consultation, we’ll assess your facial movement, discuss your goals and recommend a treatment plan tailored to you.
Seeing lines you’d rather soften?
Expression lines are a normal part of moving, smiling, concentrating and living.
Over time, repeated facial movement can make certain lines appear more noticeable. You may start seeing them:
- Across the forehead
- Between the eyebrows
- Around the eyes — even when your face is relaxed
Botox isn't about dramatic change; it gently softens targeted lines while keeping your natural facial expressions.
That’s where a personalized consultation comes in.
Your treating provider can:
- Assess the areas you’re concerned about
- Understand what you’d like to achieve
- Determine whether Botox is an appropriate option for you

What can Botox help soften?
Depending on your individual assessment and the product being used, Botox may help soften the appearance of expression-related lines, including:
- Forehead lines
- Frown lines between the eyebrows
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
- Other expression-related lines or areas considered appropriate by your provider
Not every treatment area is suitable for everyone.
Your provider will:
- Assess your needs
- Explain which areas may be appropriate
- Discuss what results you can realistically expect

Frequently Asked Questions
What areas can Botox treat?
Botulinum toxin may be used to treat certain expression-related lines and other areas depending on the product, treatment indication and provider assessment. Common cosmetic treatment areas can include forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet. Your provider will determine which areas are appropriate for you.
How long does Botox last?
Botox results are temporary and the duration varies between individuals. Your provider can explain what you might reasonably expect based on the area being treated, your muscle activity and your individual circumstances.
Will I still look expressive?
The goal of a personalized treatment may be to soften certain lines while maintaining natural-looking facial expression. The result depends on factors including the treatment plan, dose, injection sites and individual response. Discuss your concerns about looking "frozen" or over-treated with your provider before treatment.
Is there downtime?
Botox is a non-surgical injectable treatment and typically does not require surgical recovery. You may experience temporary redness, tenderness or bruising around injection sites. Your treating provider will give you specific aftercare instructions.
How soon will I see results?
Results are not usually immediate. Changes may begin to become noticeable within several days, with the full effect taking longer to develop. Your provider will explain the expected timeline for your particular treatment.
Is Botox safe?
Botulinum toxin has an established medical and cosmetic use, but it is not risk-free. Possible side effects can include injection-site discomfort, redness, bruising, headache and temporary weakness or drooping in some cases. Your treating provider should explain the risks, contraindications and precautions relevant to you before treatment.
How do I know if I’m a good candidate?
There is no single checklist that determines suitability for everyone. Your provider will consider your goals, medical history, medications, allergies, facial anatomy, muscle activity and other relevant factors. The best place to determine suitability is during a consultation.
Can I combine Botox with other treatments?
Depending on your goals, other aesthetic treatments may sometimes be considered alongside or instead of Botox. This should be determined by your treating provider after assessing your individual needs.
Do I have to have treatment during my consultation?
No. Your consultation is an opportunity to understand your options, ask questions and decide whether treatment is right for you. You should never feel pressured to proceed.
